Go RVing Website Rebuilt For New Ad Campaign
Record Numbers of Consumers Accessing Site
RESTON, Va. – A popular resource for recreation vehicle (RV) shopping, rental and travel planning, the official Go RVing website, GoRVing.com, has been redesigned and reprogrammed. The changes reflect the theme of the “What Will You Discover? Go RVing” ad campaign and increase the site’s usefulness to consumers and the RV industry.
The site drew a record numbers of visitors so far in 2007, attracting more prospects and moving them further along in the buying process. Over 2.9 million consumers accessed Go RVing.com through October 2007, a 6 % increase over 2006’s record levels.
The updated site for 2006-2008 boasts a new look and feel, improved design structure and quicker navigation that makes it easier for visitors to locate content. It is extremely user-friendly, with quick links to the most visited areas. These include the important dealer search engine, enabling consumers to find dealers by area code or zip code, and the order page for the free Go RVing video to get them ready for their visit.
Other features on the site include 3600 virtual tours of various recreation vehicle (RV) types and a directory of manufacturers, local dealers and campgrounds. A “Meet the RV Family” section features testimonials from actual RVers.
Tailored to the needs of first-time buyers and renters, the Go RVing site also offers:
• Definitions, descriptions and price ranges for all RV types: folding camping trailers, truck campers, conventional travel trailers, fifth-wheel travel trailers, travel trailers with expandable sleeping areas, sport utility RVs, and Type A, B and C motorhomes. • RV shopping tips including retail show schedules, dealer locations, financing and insurance options, best matches for tow vehicles and information on the pre-owned market. • Information on how and where to rent an RV. • Suggested RV travel destinations including campground listings and vacation planning suggestions. • Tips on driving and towing RVs. • Preview clips and online order forms for the free “getting-started” video for first-time users. • A media section featuring news and information about the Go RVing campaign.
The Go RVing website also offers a searchable database of 3,000 RV dealers and 650 campgrounds – all have pledged to provide special attention to first-time buyers.
Go RVing’s monthly electronic newsletter is driving thousands of new consumers to the website in 2007. The e-newsletter goes to RV prospects who order Go RVing’s free “getting-started” video or sign up online. It offers stories from the road by RV expert and author Brad Herzog, tips on purchasing and renting RVs, destinations, activities, recipes, and a direct link to GoRVing.com.
The Go RVing Coalition, formed in 1994, consists of RV manufacturers, component suppliers, dealers and campgrounds. Go RVing works to provide the public and media with pertinent information about the benefits of RV travel and to foster customer satisfaction with the RV experience through customer research conducted by its Committee on Excellence.
