Ramen Salad

Ingredients and Directions


  • Ramen noodles
  • Mayonnaise


Use one to two packs of ramen noodles per person (depending on appetites). Crumble noodles in bowl or pot (microwave or stove top) and cover with water (don't add flavor packet). Cook noodles to desired texture, then drain water. Now mix in flavor packet(s) and approximately 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise per packet of noodles (to taste). You can also add diced chicken, steak, hot dog slices, etc. for variety. Steak and corn or green beans is my favorite.


I came up with this while in the Army. We weren't allowed to cook in the barracks, but were allowed to have coffeepots. I would add noodles and desired options into the pot, then run it through the brew cycle, let it sit until done and then drain off the water, and pour into bowl to mix in mayonnaise and flavor packets.
