Go RVing Receives Television Industry’s Highest Honor For Advertising Excellence

By: RV Industry Association Staff

Go RVing has been awarded a Silver Telly for their “Stubborn Camper” digital ad in the Online Commercials Travel/Tourism Category. The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials. Now their awards include non-broadcast video, television programming and digital video.

The humorous “Stubborn Camper” ad was conceived in-house by the Go RVing team. They created the script and hired the executive producer, Explore Media from the Elkhart/Chicago area and experienced acting and improv talent. The commercial was shot in a one-day shoot in California just before Christmas and has been in Go RVing’s digital rotation since the start of year. The spot focuses on a pair of couples who take different approaches to spending time in the great outdoors, and how those choices, especially during stormy weather, can lead to very different experiences.

Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, the Telly Awards annually showcases the best work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world. The awards are judged by members of the Telly Awards Judging Council, a group of over 200+ working industry professionals who have previously won the Telly Awards’ highest accolades and as such, have demonstrable expertise in the categories they review.
