Campfire nachos are a crowd pleaser that are easy to make, quick, and delicious. Here is a recipe you can make right over top of your campfire!

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 8oz of your favorite tortilla chips
  • 8oz hot tomato sauce
  • ½ cup Mexican cheese
  • ½ cup pepper jack cheese
  • ½ can black beans
  • ½ can corn
  • Optional: choice of protein (cooked ground beef, chicken, shrimp, etc.)
  • Optional: Toppings of choice (green onions, avocado, black olives, jalapeños, lime, sour cream, etc.)

  • Oil the bottom of a large dutch oven.
  • Spread about  ⅓ of the chips on the bottom of the dutch oven. Next top with ¼ can tomato sauce, ¼ can black beans, ¼ cup Mexican cheese.
  • For the second layer, repeat the layering except add in the corn instead of the beans and the peperjack cheese instead of the Mexican cheese.
  • Add all the remaining chips, sauce, cheese, beans, and corn in a final third layer.
  • Cover the dutch oven and place on a metal grill over campfire for about 10 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from heat and top with you desired toppings.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
