Enjoy These New Year's Eve Celebrations Out West

Celebrate the New Year with these campground festivities out West!

Overview

Campgrounds and RV resorts in California and Arizona are planning a variety of special events for New Year’s Eve. Some parks are planning DJ dance parties, while others are planning elegant dinners with dancing and champagne toasts. Live music is planned at multiple locations. Some parks are also planning activities throughout the day for families with children. Here’s an overview of some of the fun festivities being planned for RVers out West:

Campland on the Bay

Campland on the Bay in San Diego, CA: Campland’s New Year’s Eve festivities include a lively DJ dance party with complimentary sparkling toasts. Campland has frontage on the bay and offers numerous organized family activities, including arts and crafts, treasure hunts, sandcastle building, as well as games of dodgeball, capture the flag and beach volleyball.

The park also offers a variety of watercraft rentals, including pedal boats, kayaks and pontoon boats as well as ski boats, Wave Runners and stand-up paddle boards. Campground amenities include an ice cream parlor and a cantina with food and cocktails.

Emerald Desert RV Resort

Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert, CA: Emerald Desert is organizing a New Year’s Eve celebration with chef-curated gourmet dining and dancing in the resort’s Emerald Ballroom. The cost is $70 per person. Resort amenities include a heated adults only pool and spa; a fitness center; bocce ball, tennis and pickleball courts; a putting green; a croquet lawn; horseshoe pits; and five dog parks.

Fountain of Youth Spa

Fountain of Youth Spa in Niland, CA: This park is planning a New Year’s Eve event with Southland Mega Groove, a variety band that plays music from the 1960s to the 2000s. Tickets are $40. This resort features a hot mineral spa, three jet pools, individual soaking tubs, and two swimming pools.

Other amenities include massage therapy, two natural steam rooms, a general store, championship tennis and pickleball courts, a commercial fitness center and two recreation halls. Bocce ball, desert golf and disc golf are also available.

Golden Village Palms RV Resort

Golden Village Palms RV Resort in Hemet, CA: This resort is celebrating New Year’s Eve with a 7 p.m. performance by Fortunate Son, a tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival. The event is exclusively for resort guests. The ticket price is $50 per person.

This resort complements its RV sites with park model RV rentals as well as park models that can be purchased and used as vacation dwellings. Amenities include three temperature-controlled swimming pools, three hot tubs, 10 pickleball courts, two sand volleyball courts, and an exercise room.

Pueblo El Mirage RV & Golf Resort

Pueblo El Mirage RV & Golf Resort in El Mirage, AZ: This 55-and-over resort is planning a New Year’s Eve party from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. featuring the Jumping Chollas Full Band. There will be a buffet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. with a champagne toast at midnight. The cost is $60 per person. Resort amenities include a beach-entry swimming pool, an 18-hole golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, an onsite bistro, and a 40,000 square-foot clubhouse.

San Diego Metro KOA Resort

San Diego Metro KOA Resort in Chula Vista, CA: This campground is planning many family-friendly activities between December 29 and January 4 to celebrate the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. Activities include a “New Year’s Eve Day Family Party” from 2 to 5 p.m. with a live band, face painters, shaved ice, a balloon artist, and a few other fun surprises.

During the week, and after the December 31 party, there will be many other activities, including a family flag football game, holiday tie-dye t-shirt making, a Lego building contest, a coloring contest, glow-in-the-dark necklace making, craft beer and wine tastings, and more.

Tucson KOA Resort

Tucson KOA Resort in Tucson, AZ: This campground, which has an onsite restaurant, Steak Rush Grill, will ring in 2026 with a special New Year’s Eve event that includes snacks, music by DJ Warren, hourly prize drawings, and a champagne toast at midnight. The entry price is $15 per person. Tucson KOA Resort features unique amenities, including a 9-hole putting course, mini golf, pet sites, and a workout room. The park’s new activity room is designed for families with children, complete with a climbing wall, family movies, and a magnet wall.

Village Camp Flagstaff

Village Camp Flagstaff in Bellemont, AZ: This resort, which features RV sites, park model RV rentals as well as park models for sale, is planning a New Year’s Eve party with live entertainment, including dueling pianos, a complimentary appetizer bar, and a champagne toast at 9 PM MST. A special New Year’s Eve menu and full bar will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Village Camp is also offering an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast and Bloody Mary bar on New Year’s Day with special pricing. Amenities include a swimming pool and year-round hot tub, lawn games, an amphitheater, and an on-site bistro and bar.
