Ring in the new year with these campground celebrations in Texas!
Overview
Campgrounds and RV resorts across Texas are planning a variety of special events for New Year’s Eve, from family-friendly, year-in-review-themed scavenger hunts to time capsule-making activities to glow-in-the-dark dance parties. Some parks will also entertain their guests with live music, dancing, and fireworks.
Here’s an overview of some of the fun festivities being planned for RVers across Texas:

Camp Fimfo
Both Camp Fimfo locations in Texas are celebrating the New Year by inviting their guests to create their own time capsule. The parks are also planning a game of 2025 trivia and a Happy New Year party.
Unique amenities at the New Braunfels/Hill Country location include the 1,500-foot-long Guadalupe Glider Zipline and the Cliff Carver Alpine Coaster, the first and only alpine coaster in Texas. The Cliff Carver is a gravity-propelled sled that includes manual brakes, so riders can control their speed down the track.
Amenities at the Waco location include pickleball and tennis courts, laser tag, sand volleyball, and yard games, such as horseshoes, bocce ball, corn hole, and foot billiards. Both Camp Fimfo locations complement their RV sites with park model RV rentals.

Camp Margaritaville Resort
Camp Margaritaville Resort in Crystal Beach: Guests at this resort will celebrate New Year’s Eve with music, drinks, and dancing as they count down the arrival of 2026. Resort amenities include an on-site restaurant, Fins Bar & Grill, and its “License to Chill Pool,” one of the largest RV resort swimming pools in the country. The pool is heated and has a swim-up bar. The resort is also known for its live music performances.

Jellystone Park Camp-Resort (Burleson)
Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Burleson: This park will celebrate the end of 2025 and the arrival of 2026 with a variety of family-friendly activities, including a “Year in Review Scavenger Hunt,” in which guests can set out on a thrilling adventure around the park to look for clues and hidden treasures that highlight the best moments of the past year.
A New Year’s Eve dance party is included in the mix of activities, along with two ball drops. An early ball drop will allow the littlest ones to get to bed early, while the midnight ball drop will celebrate the arrival of the New Year. This park complements its RV sites with a variety of accommodations, including park model RV rentals.

Jellystone Park Camp Resort (Canyon Lake)
Jellystone Park Camp Resort in Canyon Lake: This park will celebrate the New Year on the weekend of January 2-4 with a time capsule activity. Guests can fill their time capsules with photos, notes, and other keepsakes that they or their family members can open in the future.
Other activities include a glow-in-the-dark dance party and several types of glow games. Park amenities include a heated indoor swimming pool, sand volleyball courts, and a 9-hole miniature golf course. This park offers both RV sites and rental accommodations, including park model RVs.

Jellystone Park Camp Resort (Kerrville)
Jellystone Park Camp Resort in Kerrville: This park will celebrate the New Year on the weekend of January 2-4 with a glow-in-the-dark dance party and various glow games, including glow Jenga, glow Twister, glow corn hole, glow capture the flag, and a glow scavenger hunt.
Amenities include frontage along the Guadalupe River, an indoor swimming pool and spa, and an 18-hole miniature golf course. This campground offers both RV sites and rental accommodations, including park model RVs.

Port Lavaca / Matagorda Bay KOA Holiday
Port Lavaca / Matagorda Bay KOA Holiday in Port Lavaca: Guests at this campground will celebrate New Year’s Eve with crafts, games of trivia and bingo, and karaoke. Adriana Arias, a Texas country and rock music artist, will also perform from 6 to 9 PM CST.
A fireworks show will also take place over the bay that is viewable from the campground. Park amenities include beach volleyball, a swimming pool that’s open year-round, a hot tub and sauna, a kayak, paddle board, and fishing pole rentals, boat slips, private bay access, and a fishing pier. The campground offers both RV sites and park model RV rentals.

South Padre Island KOA Holiday
South Padre Island KOA Holiday on South Padre Island: New Year’s Eve activities at this park include live music, a champagne toast, and delicious hors d’oeuvres. Splashway Waterpark & Campground in Sheridan
Splashway Waterpark & Campground in Sheridan: Live music and fireworks are planned for New Year’s Eve at this park, whose amenities include kayaks and outdoor games. The park complements its RV sites with park model RV rentals. Amenities include The Hideaway Express, a one-stop shop for coffee, fresh-baked treats, and breakfast inside the camp store. The campground also has a fenced dog park.
