These savory s'mores are a fun twist on a classic sweet treat—perfect for those who love bold, savory flavors at the campground.

Ingredients

Pick and choose your favorites—there’s no wrong way to do this!

  • BASE OPTIONS:
  • Rosemary-raisin crackers or crisps
  • Crostini or toasted baguette slices
  • Savory crackers or seeded flatbread
  • TOPPINGS:
  • Sliced apple
  • Dried apricots
  • Grilled kielbasa slices

  • Soft cheeses (Brie, goat cheese, or gouda work great)
  • DRIZZLES AND EXTRAS:
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Apricot preserves or sauce
  • Honey
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Fire: Get a small campfire or grill going with hot coals (not open flames) for gentle, consistent heat.
  2. Toast Your Proteins & Cheese:
    • Spear kielbasa slices and grill until crispy.
    • Warm Babybel cheese near the coals until soft and melty—turn occasionally.
  3. Assemble Your Savory S’mores:
    • Place a cracker or crostini as the base.
    • Add your toppings—fruit slices, cheese, kielbasa, or tapenade.
    • Finish with a drizzle of honey, balsamic glaze, or apricot sauce.
  4. Serve Warm: Enjoy as an appetizer or a full light supper around the fire.

CAMP TIP: Let your guests create their own combos! Set up a “Savory S’mores Bar” with all the ingredients and let everyone experiment with flavors.
