San Diego, CA

Morro Rock Beach

Nestled in San Diego, CA, Morro Rock Beach carries a significant amount of history, as it is a State Historic Landmark. Some of the thrills of this lovely beach include sandy dunes and a relaxing ocean. Visitors can enjoy breakfast and coffee on the pier while watching otters. (Love local coffee shops? Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

For those in search of a morning outdoor adventure, a few hours’ drive north is Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Camp out at one of the 189 campsites at this location and spend your morning checking out the local trails, exploring Calla Lily Valley, and indulging in pure serenity at a spa in Alila Ventana! Other fun activities at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park include swimming, guided tours, interpretive exhibits, and more.

Depoe Bay, OR

Sea and Sand RV Park

Sea and Sand RV Park in Depoe, OR, is an excellent location to spend your morning in an RV. Settled in Depoe, OR, this park is home to a stunning beach which can be viewed from RV sites and forested campground sites. Exciting activities in this area include such as fishing, crabbing, whalewatching, golfing, casinos, and more, making it versatile for any time of the year. Pets are also welcome!

Samuel H Boardman Trails

RVers can kick off their day with breakfast on the beach and hiking the Samuel H Boardman Trails, which include Secret Beach, Natural Bridges, Arch Rock, and Thomas Creek Whaleshead Beach Trail in Curry County, OR. 

Willamette National Forest

Visitors can also start their day by relishing in a cup of coffee at Olallie Campground before exploring Koosah Falls and Sahalie Falls in Willamette National Forest.

Port Angeles, WA

Sol Duc Hot Springs RV Campground

The Sol Duc Hot Springs RV Campground, located in the Olympic Peninsula, WA, makes for an adventurous morning. Filled with three hot spring pools and an Olympic Peninsula hiking trail, this campground is perfect for anyone who craves a mixture of adventure and relaxation. 

Activities in this area include hiking the Sol Duc Falls Trail, and visitors can even take scenic stops at Lake Crescent and Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park. Alternatively, visitors can also enjoy a morning hike at Marymere Falls.

High Steel Bridge

Another beautiful location for RVers looking to have an activity-filled morning is the High Steel Bridge in the Ashford area, where you can camp at Big Creek Campground and explore the Murhut Falls and Rock Brook Falls

Reflection Lakes

Page, AZ

The Horseshoe Bend

The Horseshoe Bend in Page, AZ, gives RVers a lovely view of the Colorado River. This landmark is perfect for photo-taking and enjoying a morning sunrise (along with a nice breakfast). Many visitors like to stand on top of the overlook, which descends around 1,000 feet, making for an astonishing perspective of the geological attraction.

Lees Ferry

Only an hour away from the location is Lees Ferry, where visitors can paddle kayaks up the Colorado River and eventually reach Petroglyph Point Trails, which follow a foot-worn trail of the Ancestral Pueblo people into the forested Spruce Canyon. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the crossing of the Navajo Bridge, as well as driving past the Vermillion Cliffs.

Moab, UT

Corona Arch

Moab, UT, houses a variety of stunning morning views, one of them being the Corona Arch in Arches National Park. This arch is a memorable sight to see, along with its trail for those interested in a productive morning hike. 

Little Wild Horse Canyon

Start the day with fun activities such as morning paddleboarding, hiking the Little Wild Horse Canyon in Emery County, UT. This is a popular hiking spot for families and youth groups. The main attraction is a long stretch of "narrows," where the canyon walls are so close you have to turn sideways to get through. 

Goblin Valley State Park

RVers can also visit the whimsical Goblin Valley State Park in the same part of the state. This park allows overnight RV camping in designated campsites. There are 24 campsites available, 14 of which allow RVs. While there are no electrical hookups, all campsites have a picnic table, metal fire ring, and shade shelter.

Wolfe's Neck State Park in Freeport, ME, is perfect for RV camping and spending quaint mornings. Opportunities include shopping, visiting the park, and checking out the picturesque nature. 

Additional Vistas

Enjoy morning donuts at Marshall Point in Port Clyde, ME, following a walk past the waterfront shops. Catch stunning sunrises over the ocean from on top of Cadillac Mountain. Other fun ways to start the day include exploring tidepools, hiking along Cutler Coast and visiting the West Quoddy Lighthouse in Lubec, ME!

Southwestern UT

Southwestern Utah

Southwestern Utah is a fantastic location for RV journeys. Its geological wonders, breathtaking scenery, and beautiful campgrounds make this an exciting region to visit– especially if you’re looking for an unforgettable sunrise.

Additional morning activities in this area include hiking The Narrows, visiting Queens Garden, eating pies at the Gifford House, getting coffee at Kiva Koffeehouse, and watching sunrises.
