Northern Wisconsin

Frog Bay Tribal National Park

Frog Bay Tribal National Park (FBTNP) is the first tribal national park in the United States. The rare boreal forest ecotype, coastal wetlands and undeveloped sand beach is an unequaled wilderness experience on the Bayfield Peninsula.

Copper Crow Distillery

Copper Crow Distillery is the nation's pioneering Native American-owned distillery located in Bayfield. Copper Crow offers a distinctive range of award-winning spirits, including an apple brandy sourced from Bayfield's abundant orchards and whey-based vodka and gin, a tribute to Wisconsin's dairy legacy.

Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest

Uncover the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, which covers more than 1.5 million acres of mixed hardwood and wetlands in Wisconsin’s Northwoods. The forest features more than 800 miles of trails, some 600 lakes larger than ten acres, and unique landscapes that support rare species. It is home to Morgan Falls, a 1.2-mile round trip hike from the parking lot and is an easy and accessible hike for everyone. The falls itself are an elegant cascade, diagonally traversing a 70-foot granite face.

Apostle Islands

This cluster of 22 wooded islands on Lake Superior is made up of raw, natural beauty and rich cultural history. From sandstone cliffs and awe-inspiring sea caves to miles of pristine sand beaches and historic lighthouses, each island offers its own character and story. The Apostle Islands Kayak Express makes kayaking through these natural wonders seamless.

Northeastern Wisconsin

Lambeau Field, Titletown and Packers Hall of Fame

Visit the home of the Packers in Green Bay, experiencing a behind the scenes tour of Lambeau Field, a passage through time and football legends at the Packers Hall of Fame and iconic Wisconsin food and drink throughout the Titletown District.

Fish Boil at Old Post Office

Drive through Door County to Ephraim to experience a traditional fish boil. Locally caught fish is freshly prepared outside over an open fire. Boilmaster Jeremy “Torch” Klaubauf, who appeared on season 21 of Top Chef, tells the tales of the history of fish boils and the Scandinavian settlers who started the tradition in the region.

Trout Museum of Art

Appleton’s Trout Museum of Art opened a stunning, new 30,000-square-foot location in October 2025 and will offer free admission through 2026 thanks to a generous donor. The museum is known for curating one-of-a-kind exhibitions featuring regional, national and international artists, while offering hands-on art classes and a thoughtfully stocked museum store.

Door County Lighthouse Tours

Wisconsin's Door County peninsula juts out into Lake Michigan creating hundreds of miles of freshwater coast. Along this scenic shoreline, road trippers can discover many historic lighthouses that tell the stories of the area's past.

Kohler Waters Spa

The Midwest’s only 5-star spa is located in the small village of Kohler, near Sheboygan. The spa is an expression of the area’s 150-year connection with the healing, restorative power of water. Surfing in Sheboygan

Due to its ideal location and geography, surfing has been a local pastime in Sheboygan for over fifty years. This surf scene thrives thanks to the consistent winds and wave conditions of Lake Michigan. Whether a seasoned surfer or a beginner eager to catch their first wave, Sheboygan’s welcoming surf community and numerous surf spots offer adventures for all skill levels.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum

This Smithsonian-affiliated museum features the nation's most fully restored World War II submarine. It is your opportunity to operate a real steam engine, time-travel back to a 19th-century shipbuilding town, and let the kids sail their own boat in the Children's Waterways room, all at the largest maritime museum on the Great Lakes.

World’s Tallest Grandfather Clock (Kewaunee)

The World's Tallest Grandfather Clock was built in 1976 by Svoboda Industries as a bicentennial project. The 35-foot and 10-inch clock is located at the Ahnapee State Trail head on the corner of Miller Street and Hwy 42/Milwaukee Street. It is completely functional, with working chimes that can be heard on the quarter, half and full hours.

Harley Davidson Museum

The Harley-Davidson Museum isn't your typical museum. Much more than a nostalgia trip for motorcycle enthusiasts, the Museum offers a glimpse of American history and culture like you’ve never seen before – through the eyes of an iconic American company. Interactive, eye-catching exhibits and artifacts present an unparalleled collection of legendary stories of our nation’s last century.

Old World Wisconsin

With a grand reopening planned in 2026, the beloved 600- acre living history museum is receiving a complete entry area transformation. The updates will enhance guest experiences, accessibility and long-term sustainability.

Cassis

A new French bistro by James Beard–recognized chef Kyle Knall and his wife, Meghan Knall, opened in early 2026. Cassis' menu features French brasserie classics like moules frites, escargots, and elements of charcuterie and seafood.

Hawthorn Hollow Nature Sanctuary & Arboretum

Hawthorn Hollow in Waukesha grew out of love for the land. As a nature sanctuary and arboretum, Hawthorn Hollow has been connecting people and nature through environmental education for more than 50 years. Walking trails invite visitors to explore a 12-acre arboretum, the woodlands of the Pike River Valley, prairies, gardens, and historic buildings of Somers’ past.

Mars Cheese Castle

Founded in 1947, Mars Cheese Castle has been an icon in Wisconsin for six decades. With a grand facade reminiscent of a European castle, complete with armor and thrones, Mars Cheese Castle offers over 700 varieties of cheese, from aged cheddars to artisanal creations.

Miller Brewing Company

Visitors can embark on a journey through time guided by a personal tour companion and even the ghostly presence of Frederick Miller himself, as they delve into over 160 years of brewing history with a modern-day twist. Guests experience something new with every tour with an immersive exploration of Milwaukee Brewery's rich history. Most importantly, tours conclude with their renowned hospitality, while indulging in ice-cold beer!

Southern / Central Wisconsin

Dane County Farmers Market

The Dane County Farmers’ Market on the Square in Madison is the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country. This means that all the items for sale are grown, raised, and produced in Wisconsin by the person behind the stand. Vendors line the sidewalk of state capitol grounds, where you’ll find the season’s best bounty of vegetables, flowers, meats, cheeses, and specialty products from approximately 275 vendors throughout the year. Across the street, arts & crafts vendors and concession stands, along with street musicians, add to the festivities.

Ishnala Supper Club

Just minutes from the Wisconsin Dells and located in the middle of beautiful Mirror Lake State Park, a long winding road takes visitors through hundreds of acres of meadow and forest to the Ishnala Restaurant on the shore of tranquil Mirror Lake. Enjoy a breathtaking view while relaxing in the main dining room where giant Norway pines grow right through the roof. Enjoy a famous old-fashioned, or some award-winning entrees.

Taliesin

Explore the extraordinary home of American architect, graphic designer, writer, musician and farmer, Wisconsin-native Frank Lloyd Wright. Taliesin, located in the Driftless Region of southwestern Wisconsin, spans 800 acres and includes buildings from nearly every decade of Wright's career from the 1890s to the 1950s. Named "shining brow" in Welsh to honor his heritage, Taliesin was designed to harmonize with the surrounding hills and valley, showcasing Wright's commitment to integrating architecture with nature.

Cave of the Mounds

Cave of the Mounds, a National Natural Landmark, is open year-round for guided tours of this beautiful natural limestone cave. Walking tours follow paved, lighted walkways on a stroll that is easy for all ages. They are doing history tours in honor of America 250 in 2026.

New Glarus Brewing Company

Wisconsin's hometown brewery is committed to the artistry of crafting world-class beer and is home to the iconic Spotted Cow beer. New Glarus Brewery blends tradition, creativity, and boldness to produce an unmatched selection of local brews. It is located in New Glarus, Wisconsin, which is also known as “America’s Little Switzerland” and is home to many Swiss restaurants and shops.

World’s Largest Mustard Collection (Middleton)

The National Mustard Museum is home to the world's largest collection of mustard — more than 6,000 varieties. Visitors can taste hundreds of mustards (including those unusual flavors) in our gift shop and the downstairs museum is free of charge.

Moss Universal Park

This $10 million, universally inclusive park in Wauwatosa redefines accessibility. With inclusive playgrounds, trails, fitness zones and the nation’s first fully inclusive baseball field, the park sets a new standard for outdoor recreation. Phase one is set to open in summer 2026, with phase two groundbreaking next fall and opening in the summer of 2027.

Sand Valley

Golf enthusiasts will find a paradise at this resort with acclaimed courses like Sand Valley, ranked among Golfweek’s "Top 100 Public Access Courses," and Mammoth Dunes, ranked among Golf Digest’s "America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses." Sedge Valley provides a unique golfing experience, while The Lido, ranked among Golf Magazine’s "Top 100 Courses in the World," offers a historical glimpse into golf history.

Grandad Bluff is a standout feature of the Coulee Region, known for its stunning vistas. Soaring 600 feet above La Crosse, it offers panoramic views of the Mississippi River Valley and Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Recognized by Wisconsin Trails readers as “the most scenic view in the state,” it’s a place where the extraordinary landscapes of the Driftless region truly shine.

Vernon Winery

Vernon Vineyards Winery is 15 acres in Vernon County in Western Wisconsin offering lovely vineyard views and a beautiful new Tasting Room. Part of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin between the Wisconsin, Mississippi and Chippewa Rivers, this area is able to grow more traditional wine grapes than other areas of Wisconsin with its many rivers, valleys and western-facing slopes.

Kickapoo Valley Reserve

The Kickapoo Valley Reserve is an 8600-acre public property, located between the village of La Farge and Ontario. Sandstone outcroppings tower over the Kickapoo River as you paddle its quiet waters. Native plants and animals abound in all seasons. Visitors can enjoy over 50 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

Children’s Museum of La Crosse

This hands-on Museum in downtown La Crosse offers three floors of interactive exhibits for ages 1 to 10 and adult companions. The Museum also has a one-of-a-kind, multi-level Luckey Climber; FUN shop for gifts; birthday party/meeting rooms; and lots of special programs and activities.
