Valentine's-Themed Activities Across the Sunbelt

Looking for a Valentine-filled retreat in the Sunbelt? Here are parks along the sunbelt with fun activities for the whole family this Valentine's Day.

Campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts across the Sunbelt are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a variety of activities, from family-focused events to romantic dinners, dances, and Valentine’s-themed pool parties. Since Valentine’s Day falls on Tuesday, February 14, this year, most Valentine’s Day-themed activities take place on the weekend of February 10-12.

However, a small number of parks have Valentine’s-themed activities taking place during the first two weekends of February, while others have events scheduled for Valentine’s Day itself. Here’s a sampling of Valentine’s Day events taking place at campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts across the country:

Blue Ridge / Toccoa River KOA Holiday in Blue Ridge, Georgia: This campground celebrates Valentine’s Day from February 9-12 by enabling guests to give a handmade craft to that special someone in their life. The craft station is located inside the camp store.

Carolina Pines RV Resort in Conway, South Carolina: This resort is offering guests a change to celebrate Valentine’s Day Saturday, February 11 with a romantic candle lit four-course dinner prepared by the on-site bistro staff. Menu items include surf and turf, house-made Maryland-style crab cakes, spinach, cheese and Portobello mushroom-stuffed ravioli, and chicken & vegetable fettuccine.  During the dinner, guests will be treated to a complimentary glass of red champagne, and serenaded by local performing artist, Sweet Sweet, from 5 to 8 p.m.  Sweet Sweet is a South Carolina-based indie folk/Americana duo.  The band’s sound is a blend of elegance and mood through cello and the rustic roots of acoustic guitar. The resort is also planning a fun version of The Love & Marriage Game Show.

Encore Mesa Spirit RV Resort in Mesa, Arizona: This resort has an annual tradition of hosting a Valentine’s Day dinner in which more than 150 guests enjoy dinner and dancing in the romantically decorated activity hall.
