Pet-Friendly Adventures Just Beyond Your RV Door
Embark on an RV journey to these pet-friendly destinations perfect for you and your furry friends.
Overview
One of the special draws of RVing is its pet-friendly nature. Bringing your dog (or cat!) along on your next RV adventure is an excellent way to strengthen the bond between you and your furry friend(s) and build heartwarming memories that last for a lifetime.
Looking for some pet-friendly suggestions? We’ve got you covered. Earlier this year, Go RVing partnered with a number of pet owners to share their tried-and-true pet-friendly destinations.
Shenandoah National Park, VA
Shenandoah National Park, VA: Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah National Park is a spectacular location with a wealth of outdoor activities. The area is also known for Luray Caverns, a vast underground cave system that tourists can explore. (Leashed pets are allowed to explore this underground network, although RVers should brush up on any additional restrictions before they bring their furry friends.)
Other outdoor, dog-friendly attractions include the 480+ miles of trails at the Shenandoah National Park, the Hawksbill Greenway, Shenandoah River State Park, and James Madison University’s Edith J. Carrier Arboretum. A nearby pet-friendly accommodation is Luray RV Resort, which offers a great view of the Shenandoah River as well as opportunities for luxury glamping.
