- 1/2 cup of good olive oil
- 1/2 cup of soy sauce
- Lots of freshly chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1. Place the olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic in a heavy-duty plastic bag and sift in the cornstarch making sure it gets distributed. 2. Place your steak in the bag and get all the air out so the marinade sits on the steak. Place bag in the fridge. (I like to do this first thing in the morning so when I get back from hiking it has been marinating all day.) 3. Take the steak out a half-hour before you put it on the grill. Don’t wipe the marinade off. The cornstarch will cook and create a delicious crust on the outside of the steak. 4. I love to serve this with ripe avocados that have been cut in half and placed on the grill, and grilled corn on the cob!
