Valentine's Day Campground Activities

Celebrate Valentine's Day with these campground activities ranging from crafts and scavenger hunts to potlucks and more!

Campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the Sunbelt are celebrating Valentine’s Day with a variety of activities, including craft activities, Valentines-themed scavenger hunts, potlucks, and dinner/dance events. Since February 14th falls on a Wednesday this year, most Valentine’s-themed activities take place on the weekend before or after Valentine’s Day. Here’s a sampling of Valentine’s Day events taking place at campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country:

 

Listings by State

  • Rincon Country East RV Resort in Tucson, Arizona: Guests at this park can celebrate Valentine’s Day at 4 p.m. Feb. 14 with a golf cart parade through the park. Guests with bikes, scooters, walkers, and golf carts are all welcome to participate in the event. After the parade, guests can enjoy a few laughs as Robert Lee and David Studabaker perform a comedy show at 7 p.m.
     
  • Voyager RV Resort in Tucson, Arizona: Valentine’s Day activities at this resort include a tribute concert to Olivia Newton John.

  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Lodi“Camping with Cupid Weekend” festivities are set for the weekend of Feb. 16-18. Activities include making a love potion and playing Valentine’s bingo. Guests can also sign up for candy grams and receive a sugary treat from one of the bears.
     
  • San Diego Metro KOA Resort in Chula Vista: This park celebrates Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s Day together with a “KOA Kiss Cocktail,” churros, and homemade chili at the Sandcastle Cafe. Saturday activities include painting, a family whiffle ball game, face painting and a s’mores family evening party at the playground.
     
  • San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in Petaluma: This park will celebrate its annual potluck-style Valentine’s crab and chicken dinner on Saturday, Feb. 17, with crab brought in fresh from Bodega Bay. The market price of the crab is yet to be determined. Guests are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share, along with tools to crack their crabs.
     
  • Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in Santee: This park will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Feb. 10 with craft activities for adults and children in the campground’s clubhouse.
     
  • Temecula KOA at Vail Lake in Temecula: From Feb. 5-13 this park will celebrate both Valentine’s Day and the Super Bowl with bike rides, live entertainment and a football watch party at The Bunkhouse Bar.

  • Fireside RV Resort in Ponchatoula: This campground will celebrate Valentine’s Day along with Mardi Gras on the weekend of Feb. 10-11 with a golf cart parade, kids crafts, and duck races with Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day themes. On Feb. 17th the park will also have kids crafts with a Valentine’s Day theme.

  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Pelahatchie: This park will entertain guests with dinner and a show on Friday night, followed by fun activities and games on Saturday that are sure to remind you of why you fell in love.

  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Tabor City: This park will celebrate Valentine’s Day, Feb. 9-11, with crafts, musical hearts with Yogi Bear, candy bar bingo, a Valentine’s hay ride, a Valentine’s scavenger hunt, flower delivery, and a “Sweetheart Dinner.”

  • The Waves RV Resort in Naples: On February 14, this resort will have a "Lover's Luau" with "everything Hawaiian from food to music and trivia," followed by a "Lover's Luau Dance."

  • Camp Fimfo in New Braunfels: This park will celebrate Valentine’s Day on the weekend of Feb. 16-18 with a Valentine’s Day dance.
     
  • Camp Fimfo in Waco: This park will celebrate Valentine’s Day on the weekend of Feb. 16-18th with a Valentine’s dinner party.
     
  • Encore Sunshine RV Resort in Harlingen: This resort is expecting more than 200 guests to attend its annual Valentine’s Day dinner and dance party on Friday, Feb. 16th.
     
  • Great Escapes RV Resort in Perrin: This park celebrates Valentine’s Day on the weekend of Feb. 16-18th with craft activities, candy relay races and a Valentine’s-themed scavenger hunt around the campground as well as a family movie night. There will also be a heartwarming family dance in which guests will be able to capture precious photos of loved ones against a Valentine’s backdrop.
     
  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in BurlesonValentine’s Day activities at this park are scheduled for Feb. 16-19th and include crafts, candy bar bingo, a “Blindfold Taste Challenge: Candy Edition,” and a “Sweethearts Dance."
     
  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Canyon Lake: This park will have a “Camping with Cupid Weekend” Feb. 16-18th. Activities include making a love potion and playing Valentine’s bingo. Guests can also sign up for candy grams and receive a sugary treat from one of the bears.
     
  • Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Kerrville: A “Camping with Cupid Weekend” will take place at this park on the weekend of Feb. 16-18th. Activities include making a love potion and playing Valentine’s bingo. Guests can also sign up for candy grams and receive a sugary treat from one of the bears.
